A 3-day camping safari to Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater is a classic, budget-friendly Tanzanian adventure. Starting in Arusha, you’ll spend Day 1 spotting tree-climbing lions and flamingos in Lake Manyara, Day 2 descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, and camp overnight near the rim or in the nearby town of Karatu.
Day 1. Ngorongoro.
Leave Arusha in the morning and proceed to Ngorongoro arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 2. Lake Manyara.
After breakfast leave with picnic lunch for Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 3. Arusha;
Early morning game drive, breakfast and return to Arusha arriving for lunch.
